THE ART OF A SCIENTIST

In those days of scientific evolution many scientists were studying light. Now, while studying light some experiments revealed and confirmed that that light had dual features or characteristics that it is made up of waves and particles, both. This baffled many scientists but it was a fact and could not be ignored or removed.

One of the scientist whose name was Amanackia was intrigued by this findings and was very much curious to find more about light especially its particle nature. But to know more about the particle nature of light the first thing that was required was to visually inspect light particles and for that there needed to be an image of light particles. It looked impossible during that time to do something to get that but still he decided that he will make it possible and would get an image anyhow. He thought to trap the light somehow and get an image of its particles.

Now it is known that to get an image of a light particle or anything one needed an image capturing device like a camera that can get it. But even if one had that it should have a very strong magnifying lens that could capture the images of light particle. Secondly the camera should have something special in it that allows its capture. That special thing was the camera film’s capacity and capability.

So he started working on this project.

He worked to make the lens first. He consulted many scientists and after much intellectual discussions Amanackia found out a way to make a very powerful camera lens that had high optic powers at close distance to capture the light particles ( which was sufficient according to him).

Secondly he had to make some sort of camera roll’s film that could capture the tiniest particles present in the universe.

Currently the camera roll films that were used and put in camera rolls were made up of a chemical called silver-iodide. Now, when he looked up and confirmed the molecular structure of silver iodide he realized that it was made up of very big molecular elements found in periodic table and thus was difficult to use it to capture smaller molecular compositions even when using a very high powered lens to do so.

Now the task of Amanackia was to find something like maybe a smaller chemical formula that can be used in camera roll’s film to capture image of light particles. He kept on struggling to find such a chemical or compound but he could not get any closer to making it. One day he was looking at the periodic table, frustrated, he looked at the noble elements of periodic table. He then thought out of the box and thought that if he could make a compound reacting lithium and helium it might help. But how it would help, for this he had thought about. He thought that if somehow the extra electron in lithium ion which would otherwise waste away while reaction could be used to continually or upon reacting alter the electromagnetic field of lithium and helium ( thus altering their shape ) in presence of another substance like light to form the shape of substance while being captured on a film, that would be wonderful. He thought that if through use of some insulating material which included chemicals, he could make a stable compound of lithium and helium it would be wonderful. The compound formed would have molecules that could change their shape when light falls on them and thus could take or form the picture and shape of light particles on camera roll’s film.

This looked difficult but was not impossible. He used pressure and a ton of catalysts including lots of other chemicals to make such a compound. He was successful in making such a compound which he confirmed after testing and called it helium lithiite. But to take image of light particles, it had to be done in a dust free area so that dust particles don’t block their visibility.

For this he made a helium balloon and attached the high powered lens to a special camera with the bendable molecule formula - helium lithiite chemical film in it. Then he added a timer for the camera to take picture. Secondly he added a timed spark that will burst the helium balloon at a given height. He also attached a small parachute to the entire equipment.

The experiment was then carried out. Helium was filled in the balloon and then the helium balloon was let to escape in atmosphere. Things functioned as they were required to and Amanackia waited for the results to check when the balloon came down after capturing pictures. When he checked the film he found that although light particles still were un-capturable but he captured other smaller molecular structures of elements like nitrogen, oxygen, water vapour etc whose molecular images were never captured before. This was still a success but not what Amanackia wanted it was really looking for. But just in a desire to capture light he captured much more than that and was considered an achievement.

Later, the concept of bendable molecules that could alter shape in presence of other electromagnetic and chemical fields became wide known and started to be used in making of different things. The whole concept involved changing of shape through the electron revolving around the atom or molecule when together which changed the shape and adjusted them according to the influence of nearby electromagnetic or other type of fields in nature.
